The last month before I moved into my new apartment, my car is broken into. I learned that this is quite normal for a car owner; however, it was my first. Prior to this experience, I owned a 2007 Nissan car that had been passed through family members before I became owner of it. I loved my Nissan for its rugged and homey ambience. It never attracted attention similar to my own preferred lifestyle. Upon moving to California, because of SMOG I had to trade the Nissan in for a newer car. With newer things comes newer experiences. Anyways, what did they steal you might ask? Everything valuable to me but of no value to them: my backpack. My backpack had my wallet and school materials. I promptly called the police and began freezing my credit, bank cards, and replacing what was stolen. The window was fixed within the hour thanks to help of a good friend.
What is my main takeaway? I am grateful that I was not harmed physically or mentally by this experience. My car is parked right beside my bedroom window which was open to let in fresh air. One can imagine how worse this experience could have been if this amazing person decided to go further with his or her deeds. This experience only increased my spiritual tank of gratefulness towards God for the unfailing and continual protection of safety and good health in my life. So yeah, That's what happened. -Sincerely, Paola Benefo

Disclaimer: Please do not be alarmed. I am not clinically diagnosed as depressed or suicidal.
I view passing away in a very methodical way. Atleast, I would like there to be a planned method of how I would want to leave this earth and for those who have loved me to celebrate my life. Being separated with my parents abruptly has prompted me to pay attention to how I want things handled. Being from two cultures there are going to be influences on how I am handled and I wanted it clear what I wish for.
